hello all

i just got a moss spider egg in a gift from nick

and was just wondering what to do with it

i hear you can get a tameable spider but i have no ranger character

can it be sold for a decent amount?

You can get ranger as your secondary profession.

Looks like they sell for about 15k

Take it to the Zaishen Menagrie. There's an NPC there that'll take it and you'll unlock the Moss Spider Pet.
You don't need to be a Ranger Primary to get a pet. Only a Secondary with the skill 'Charm Animal' to be able to charm one. After that, Just have 'Charm Animal', 'Comfort Animal', or 'Heal As One' on your bar (preferably with some points in Beast Mastery) and you'll have your pet with you.

Yes, You can also sell the egg to another player for a bit of money, I think it's something like 15-30k? Not to sure though. Do a search and see what comes up in the Buy/Sell Section.

you can also have your heroes charm it after giving it to the NPC in the Menagerie....or yeah sell it, there are other players who still have yet to get one.
